Dallas Burn (Now FC Dallas)
Antonio Martinez started his professional soccer career with the Dallas Burn in 2000. In 2001 Antonio set a Burn team record by registering 3 assists in one game, a feat that he repeated in the 2002 season and still stands today. That year Antonio was third in scoring for the Burn with 18 points (4 goals, 10 assists) and finished the season as the team leader in assists and fifth in the league overall. Also noteworthy in the 2002 season was Antonio’s designation as “MLS player of the week” after scoring 2 goals and an assist, including the game winning goal, against the NY/NJ Metrostars.

Los Angeles Galaxy (MLS)
In 2003 Antonio was traded to the LA Galaxy, the defending champions of MLS. He started and scored his first goal with the team in his debut against the Columbus Crew. Antonio scored two goals and one assist in 5 games before having to sit out the second part of the season because of knee surgery.
UD Salamanca (Spain)
After following his development in MLS, UD Salamanca signed Antonio in the winter of 2004 as one of only two Non-European players allowed per team in Spain. Antonio became the first Mexican to play for the team in its eighty year history,
playing the second half of the 2003-2004 season.
CD Necaxa (Mexico)
Antonio continued his career in his native Mexico. He signed a contract for the torneo apertura 2004 with CD Necaxa, known as one of the most successful teams of Mexico in recent history.
CD Chivas USA (MLS)
For the 2005 MLS anniversary season Antonio returned to play in the U.S. for Chivas USA. He finished the season third on the team in scoring.

El Camino College (ECC)
1996-1998 Named team MVP both years and was inducted into the ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME “In recognition for outstanding achievement”
Cal State University Fullerton (CSUF)
1998-1999 Antonio led Fullerton to a school best ranking in 1998, #4 in the nation. In 1999, he led the team in assists. Antonio then decided to turn professional, entering the MLS Super Draft where he was selected by the Dallas Burn (now FC Dallas) with their second pick.
