MISSION STATEMENT
The Genesis Elite FC philosophy is based on providing
an affordable organization in North Texas for competitive
soccer that focuses on long-term player technical
development and training. The skills and development
programs are initiated in our Academy teams at a young
age and expanded to intermediate and advanced levels
across all club teams. All teams have standard structured
training programs with similar skills, tactics and
playing formations.
The club is out to field competitive teams in all
North Texas leagues, but will not sacrifice winning
over long-term player development. The Genesis Elite
Futbol Club works within the collegiate coaching ranks
to prepare our players for the next phase of their
athletic lives after High School. All coaches are
certified at a “D” License Level or above
and are evaluated annually on their overall performance
and knowledge. Our Coaching Education, Training, Evaluation/Advancement
Programs are managed by the clubs Director of Coaching.
The Director of Coaching confirms that all GEFC coaches
are trained and performing up to the level of their
capabilities.
He also maintains and guarantees that all coaches
conform to the club’s Code of Conduct in their
communications and actions towards our players, parents,
referee’s and league officials. All Club Coaches,
Directors and Representatives are driven to make our
club the Premier Player Development organization in
North Texas.
PLAYER EVALUATIONS
Every player and their skills will be evaluated twice
a year by their team coach and the Director of Coaching.
After the evaluation the player will receive a written
evaluation of their skills showing the areas of strength
and areas in need of improvement. The player and their
coach will design a training program that addresses
problem areas and a plan for improvement.
Since all teams and players are in the same training
program, players can train with other players with
identical skills and advance to their individual performance
level and potential.
COACHING EDUCATION/EVALUATIONS
The Education, Development, Advancement and Retention
of our coaches are core club philosophies for the
Genesis Elite Futbol Club. The ability to have our
coaches’ start out teaching with our Academy
level teams and gain the required experience, education
and knowledge to move up into our competitive division
teams is a key to the overall growth of our club.
The focus of our coaching training & development
program will begin with the implementation of two
separate training sessions that will actually be contained
within the club tryouts. The Director of Coaching
will direct the sessions, but he/she will be assisted
by the club coaches as they participate. The focus
of the two training sessions will be Phase #1 Training.
The first session will cover basic technical training
for all players at all ages. The second session will
include the progression of Phase #1 Training to more
advanced training within this phase. Each training
session will cover three separate 2 hour sessions
and will include a curriculum for the coaches identifying
and explaining the following:
- Phase #1 Basic Training (Drills and Exercises)
- Phase #1 Advanced Training (Drills and Exercises)
- The Importance of Training Players and Teams within
a System of Play
The Director of Coaching will continue to coordinate
with all of the coaches and players moving forward
into the start of the season. Additional plans will
be developed concerning recruitment of players and
coaches, based upon the needs of the club and teams.
The focus will always stay on the development and
growth of the players and coaches. Other areas include:
Coaches Growth Plan- Players need to have feedback
on their performance, written and verbal. It is equally
important that coaches have some type of direct feedback
on their performance, otherwise how can they improve
and grow in their responsibilities as a coach? A written
growth and evaluation plan would also be put together
for each coach that would involve the Director of
Coaching providing feedback in a one on one format.
The Director would provide additional learning opportunities
to coaches within the club through coaching sessions
and clinics. These would begin to change as the club
and players began to transition from Phase #1 Training
to Phase #2 Training. All coaches would be required
to attend at least two (2) sessions per year (once
during tryouts when it is done with players from an
age group that is trying out for a team, and another
time as organized by the Director of Coaching. There
would be more than one opportunity for a coach to
attend a session, just in case schedules do not permit.
